Island of the Blue Dolphins

by Scott O'Dell

A review by Danit Rich

In the beginning of the story a girl lived happily with her father, brother, and sister. Next some Aluet hunters kill her father. Then her family is forced to leave the island. Her brother is left behind. She is left there too. Soon her brother is killed by a pack of wild dogs. She makes friends with one of them.  You'll have to read the book to find out what happens in the very ending.

I liked the book because it tells you about the sad, hard, harsh, annoying, painful, lonely times.

I would recommend this book to you because it is a great story and it tells you everything about the life on the island.
